Ethic DTC Headset Osmose Silicone Ceramic Marble Red

The Osmose ceramic headset has been developed to be the ultimate headset.

It features the unique dimensions of Ethic's own Oracle headset, which is the only bearing (including scooter and bmx) to have been specially developed for freestyle with specific geometry / ball sizes / tolerances.

The difference is that on this bearing, the standard steel balls have been replaced by high-precision Ceramic balls (grade 5). These balls are 20% more resistant, but above all 2 times harder than the high-performance steel used for the bearings.

The result is much lower friction, and handlebars that turn like never before, even when the compression system is tightened.

The top cap concept is also unique, with direct contact between the handlebar and the compression ring (7075 T6 aluminum), and a silicone top cap surrounding it.

This avoids the break-in phase, when you have to wait a while for the whole system to reach its final deformation. (need to tighten less often).

And as a final bonus, since ceramic is lighter than steel, and thanks to the optimized geometry of the bearing and cap, this headset is by far the lightest available, with a weight saving of almost 30% compared to standard headsets.
